Can you sell courses online with EmbayLMS?
By Embay Consulting Inc.
Yes. Every paid EmbayLMS plan includes a built-in storefront for selling courses online. You set a price per course, offer coupon codes, and take payment through Stripe. Buyers can add courses to a cart and check out as guests. Revenue is paid out to your own Stripe account.

How does the EmbayLMS storefront work for buyers?
Your storefront is a public page that lists the courses you choose to sell, each with its price. A buyer browses the catalogue, adds one or more courses to a cart, and pays by card. You can create coupon codes for discounts, promotions, or partner pricing.
Payment happens in Stripe's payment interface. Card data is entered only into payment fields served by Stripe and never touches EmbayLMS servers. Once payment clears, the buyer gets access to the course and shows up in your reporting like any other learner.
Do buyers need an account to purchase a course?
No. Checkout works as a guest, so a buyer can pay without signing up first. That matters when you sell to the public: every step you add before payment costs you sales.
This is the main difference between selling courses and internal training. Employees are enrolled by an administrator. Buyers enrol themselves, pay on the spot, and expect access right away.
What does it cost to sell courses through EmbayLMS?
Selling is included in every paid plan. There is no separate e-commerce module to license.
Two costs apply to each sale. EmbayLMS deducts a commission, and the rate depends on your plan: higher plans pay a lower rate. The exact rates are not published here; ask us for the rate on your plan. Stripe also charges its card processing fees, which Stripe publishes on its pricing page.
The rest of each sale is paid out to your own Stripe account.
Is selling courses limited by plan?
One boundary applies: the storefront is part of every paid plan, and the free plan does not include it. Beyond that, all paid plans get the same selling features: per-course pricing, coupons, cart, guest checkout, refunds, and tax handling.
Moving up a plan changes the commission rate on each sale, not the selling features.
