Which vendors name their Canadian cloud region?

Three do. Docebo and EmbayLMS name AWS ca-central-1, and Absorb LMS names AWS Canada Central with a data centre in Montreal. D2L Brightspace states AWS hosting in Canada without naming the region or the city.

A named region matters because it can be checked. "Hosted in Canada" is a claim. "AWS ca-central-1" is a place that Amazon itself documents.

Is Canadian hosting limited to some plans?

None of the four vendors that host in Canada publishes a plan restriction on it. Absorb LMS says the region is chosen at onboarding, and Docebo says it is set in the agreement. EmbayLMS states that all customer data at rest is in Canada, with no plan named.

Unpublished is not the same as unrestricted. If a Canadian region is a requirement, ask for it in the order form.

Does hosting in Canada keep all processing in Canada?

Not always, and subprocessor lists are where to check. All seven vendors publish one. Docebo's list states that limited Usage Dashboard and media conversion data are processed in the EU, whatever region the customer chose. EmbayLMS lists a background worker and transactional email in the United States.

Hosting describes where data rests. Processing can still travel, which is why the residency page draws the line between residency and sovereignty.

Which platforms offer a Canadian French interface?

Four publish Canadian French for the product interface. D2L Brightspace includes French (Canada) and French (France) language packs. Docebo offers French Canadian, turned off until an administrator enables it. LearnUpon offers it on request. EmbayLMS runs in English and Canadian French on every plan.

Absorb LMS lists European French for its interface and Canadian French for messages only. 360Learning and TalentLMS list French without saying which variant.

What does "not published" mean in this table?

It means the fact was looked for on the vendor's own pages and was not there on the access date. The cell still links to the page where it would appear, so the search can be repeated. It is not a claim that the vendor lacks the feature, only that it does not say so publicly.

"Not applicable" means the criterion does not apply. A vendor that publishes no Canadian hosting has no Canadian region to name.

Which one fits which organization?

That depends on which cell matters to you. If a named Canadian region on file is the requirement, Absorb LMS, Docebo and EmbayLMS publish one. If you also need hosting in Europe or Australia, Absorb LMS, D2L Brightspace and Docebo publish those regions too. If published per-user prices matter before a sales call, 360Learning, EmbayLMS and TalentLMS publish them.

EmbayLMS is the publisher of this page and one of the seven columns. Its cells are sourced from its own pages, held to the same rule as everyone else's.
