Health and safety training an inspector can verify

Quebec’s occupational health and safety law requires employers to inform workers of the risks of their work and to ensure appropriate training. The proof that it happened is the employer’s to keep. EmbayLMS keeps it dated, recurring and exportable.

The record that shows the training happened

Every completion is recorded with the person, the course and the original completion date, and the record is kept after the account is deactivated. That is what an employer has to produce when asked to show the training was given.

Refreshers that come back on their own

Hazardous products training, forklift qualification and other recurring programs are assigned on an interval, expire on schedule and are reassigned without an administrator, with manager escalation (Growth+).

Exports in the form an inspection request takes

The history exports by course, by person or by period. A request for everyone trained on a given program, or for one worker’s full record, is one export rather than a reconstruction.

SCORM 1.2 and 2004 packages from safety training providers run on every plan, including the free one, and the learner interface ships in English and Canadian French. A crew that works in French trains in French.

Questions safety teams ask

What does a completion record contain?
The person, the course and its version, the original completion date, and how completion was established: a score, a pass mark or an attendance confirmation. The record stays attached to the person after their account is deactivated.
How long are safety training records kept?
For as long as you keep the workspace: deactivating a learner does not remove their completions. The retention period itself comes from the obligation that required the training, not from the platform; the audit-ready records page explains how to set a floor when the law does not.
Can contractors and agency workers be trained alongside employees?
Yes. Group enrollment with due dates covers contractors and agency workers alongside employees, and their completions sit in the same reporting and the same exports.
