Continuing education tracking for Quebec professional orders
The OIQ, the Barreau, the CPA Order and the OIIQ each set their own hours, reference periods, declaration dates and proof retention. EmbayLMS records a completion date and a duration per activity, so the hours a member declares are read from the transcript rather than reconstructed.
Hours read from the transcript
Every activity is recorded with its completion date and its duration. A member preparing a declaration reads the period’s total from their own history instead of collecting attestations from a drawer.
Periods that recur on the order’s cycle
Assignments repeat on the reference period you set for each order, expire on schedule and are reassigned without an administrator’s intervention, with manager escalation (Growth+).
Proof that outlives the seat
Completion records survive account deactivation. A member who leaves the firm, or the firm itself, can still produce the history for as long as an order asks it to be kept.
Exports in the shape a declaration takes
The history exports by person or by period, which is the form an order’s declaration form or a verification request asks for. Nothing is retyped.

- Any order whose members must complete and declare continuing education per reference period. The hours, periods, declaration dates and proof retention differ from one order to the next and are published by each order; this page does not restate them.
- Does EmbayLMS file the declaration with the order?
- No. The member files the declaration on the order’s own form. EmbayLMS produces the dated transcript and the exports the member attaches or keeps as supporting documents.
- How long is the proof kept?
- Completion records stay attached to a person after their account is deactivated, so the history is available for as long as the order’s retention period runs. The period itself comes from the order’s regulation or standard, not from the platform.
